What Motivates Me Most to go for Work Everyday? (Thank Me Later)

If showing up regularly at work was easy, everyone would be doing it. Sometimes, it is hard to find the motivation to show up at work, even if you love doing it. Following the same routine, every day diminishes the excitement for work. It is very common, and people just can’t get rid of these feelings.

Some days, you just don’t want to get out of your bed and go to work. Believe me, I know. I also feel the same sometimes. But no matter what, I show up to my work every day. So, some might ask, “What inspires you to go to work every day?”

The inspiration that drives me to work every day is my desire to be the best at what I do, the satisfaction after completing a difficult task, and the desire to leave a legacy behind.

Well, in this article, I am going to share my secret technique behind how I muster the motivation to go to work every day. So, keep reading.

How Can I Motivate Myself Every Day?

Every day I wake up knowing I will be following the same boring routine all day long. The first thing I do after waking up is to motivate myself to get up and ready. But how do I do that?

The simplest and most effective method for finding motivation is to ask yourself the question, “Why am I working?”. People can have different reasons. Some want to ensure a better future for their kids and some to get a raise in salary. Others get a promotion.

These are some of the much more profound and meaningful reasons to motivate yourself to show up for work.

Finding that reason will motivate you for the long run. This is the simplest method to inspire yourself.

If you need some motivation to tackle a complex project then you can do it by thinking about the praise and rewards, you’ll have if you do a good job. Don’t think about the task. Think about the feeling you are going to have after completing the task. Look at it like a challenge that can be accomplished quickly. This will help a lot in mustering enough motivation for going to work.

How do I Stop Being So Lazy?

Take a break once in a while, there is nothing wrong about it. But if every day is a day off, then there is a severe problem. Some people are more prone to laziness than others. Even the best of us can find it very challenging to overcome laziness. Here are some tricks that I use to stop being lazy:

Finding the root cause

Before finding the cure, one must find the cause. To overcome laziness, one must discover why he or she is lazy. There might be several reasons behind it, like lack of passion, an overwhelming task, and even a health problem that can interfere with your desire to get the work done properly.

Healthy lifestyle

Leading a healthy life goes a long way to overcome laziness. Just a few minutes of exercise not only benefits your health but also helps you overcome laziness. Along with the exercise, a healthy diet, proper sleep, and rest are also essential to combat laziness.

Change your habit

For some people, laziness is directly or indirectly a consequence of their habit. If you always find yourself being lazy around the same time of day or in the same situations, then you are one of them.

You can simply reduce your feelings of laziness by changing your habits. Consider changing the working hours, working in a new environment, or even change your appearance like taking a new haircut or change the way you dress.

Set achievable goals

Sometimes, people are lazy because they have realized that they will never be able to achieve the goals that they’ve set for themselves. If the goal is too far to reach, it is natural that you will become lazy, thinking that you can never achieve it.

Set up realistic goals while being reasonable about how much energy, time, and other factors are needed to meet your goals. Accordingly, create an action plan. Planning is essential to get something done. Planning properly makes the task a lot easier.

Avoid distraction

We all have our ways to distract ourselves from our surroundings. Scrolling through the social media news feed or playing games on a smartphone are some of the most popular things that we do when we do not feel like doing a task assigned.

Make your favorite distractions less accessible. Find a quiet place to work, use app blockers to block sites and applications in your smartphone that you might use when you should be completing your task.

What Makes A Job Fun and Motivating For You?

Work is work, no matter if you are a miner or a CEO. All must complete the tasks that they were assigned to. They can be tiring. But a job can be fun and motivating too.

For me, a fun job is the kind of job from which I can learn a lot, which can help my future career. A job that assigns challenging tasks is a fun job for me. Complex tasks might seem like a burden to you, but when you can complete the task, the feeling you get is out of this world.

Another critical aspect of a fun and motivating job is the working environment and the employees you are working with. A working environment where employees take care of each other, help with your work whenever you need help provides lots of motivation to show up at work day after day.

A workplace that recognizes the extraordinary efforts of their employees and rewards appropriately is also fun and motivating. This provides extra encouragement to those employees who need it.

What Keeps You Going at Work?

There are lots of factors that keep people going to work day after day. Every person has a different reason for work. Some do it to ensure that their children can have a better future. Some do it from their passion for doing the work. Others do it to learn new things and excel in every task at hand.

Some people are very dedicated and sincere to their work. They almost worship it. No matter what, they will perform their duties perfectly. For me, the factors that are keeping me going to work every day are:

  • Learn new things
  • Passion towards the job
  • Determination to excel in every task at hand
  • The positive attitude of my colleagues
  • The satisfaction after completing a challenging task
  • Desire to leave a legacy behind
  • Desire to build a better future for my family
  • The interest in helping others in need
  • Desire to make the world a better place to live in

Conclusion

We all have those days when we find it hard to find the motivation to attend our jobs. After all, we are just human. But with a bit of perspective you will find that finding motivation to carry on is not that hard. It is everywhere. All you need to do is know where and how to search for it.

I hope that I’ve been able to answer your question, “What inspires you to go to work every day?”. I hope this article was somewhat helpful for you to find your motivation for working every day. Thanks for stopping by. Best of luck with your work life.
